Known change to Wi-Fi Dongles for Yealink desk phones
Yealink have made a change to their current Wi-Fi dongle for desk phones the WF50.
This may cause some newer WF50's to not work on supported phones that do not meet a certain firmware version.
There is a solution to this which will be to make sure the phone in question is on the latest firmware.
Please see the below from the release notes from Yealink:
In this release, Yealink launched WF50 in a new hardware version (V1). Therefore, Yealink upgraded T4XU and T5XW series to make them compatible with WF50 (V1).
To be compatible with WF50 (V1), the firmware version of the T4XU series should be 108.86.0.70 or later.
To be compatible with WF50 (V1), the firmware version of the T5XW series should be 96.86.0.70 or later.
Note: You can differentiate the new WF50 from the old one with the V1 label: the "V1" sign appears on the WF50 rear panel, the sticker of the kraft paper box and the outer box sticker.
