1. With the temporary password, the technician should set the system initialization switch (also referred to as the "clear switch") to the SYSTEM INITIALIZE position (also referred to as "Clear position") without pushing reset button or restarting the PBX. Note that if the system is restarted at this point then it will be initialized.

2. Now connect to the PBX through Maintenance Console/WebMC and login using INSTALLER with the temporary master password provided in order to change the INSTALLER password to what you want.

3. Return the system initialise switch to the "NORMAL" position.

Be aware that if Panasonic have given a password near the end of the month, it has to be used by midnight on the last day. Otherwise a new password will be needed.

Can the Temp Master password be used from a remote location?

Yes. If someone can do the switch, it will work.

They must switch it back as soon as logged in and before changing the password.
